Janet Zintambila is the 2nd oldest of seven
sisters and four brothers, has acquired a Masters in Clinical Counseling, and
is a native of Kenya, from the Luhya tribe (located in western Kenya near
Victoria).
Her interest in coaxing promising crops from the land runs
in her family:
Her mother farmed twenty acres of land in her native Kenya. Her older brother, Michael Mmata is a veterinarian and cultivates tea and corn, and her younger brother Dr.Fansou Kidwaro has a PhD in Agronomy and does extensive research in crop production.
Her sister Beatrice, gardens extensively in Chicago, in
spite of steel and concrete. Her other sister Florence Mijide of Eldoret, Kenya also farms five acres of land. Her youngest brother Joshua Kibisu farms three acres of corn.
Janet has celebrated 18 years of marriage to her husband Dr.
Henry Zintambila of Malawi, the second child of five, and has a PhD in Geography from the University of Hawaii.
